"Truly, sir, all that I live by is with the awl. I meddle with no tradesman’s matters nor women’s matters,
but withal I am indeed, sir, a surgeon to old shoes. When they are in great danger, I recover them.
As proper men as ever trod upon neat’s leather have gone upon my handiwork."

Vegetable Tanned Leather

Using plant matter called tannins to preserve leather, this exquisite material is often the only choice for leather connoisseur.

Often stiff when new, it requires time and usage to slowly break into this hardy material.

Chromed Tanned Leather

Using chromium salts to preserve leather, this process produces uniform and supple soft leather in larger quantities which are highly desired by luxury brands.

Vegan Leather

"So I am living without fats, without meat, without fish, but am feeling quite well this way. It always seems to me that man was not born to be a carnivore."

Albert Einstein

Using fabric backings and polymer coatings, technology have made vegan leather comparable and an ethically alternative to genuine leather.

Leather Grading

Strength, Aesthetics, Touch; The right type of leather of the right purpose ensures longevity.

 Full grain leather

This is the highest grade of leather which retains the entire grain.  Its prized natural textures, strength and durability makes it the ultimate choice.

Top grain leather

With imperfections buffed off the surface, this second grade leather are often embossed again with a pattern like saffiano, exotic to bring up its value.

Split leather

Lacking in strength, it makes up in its soft supple feel.  Often used to create suede, it makes a wonderful lining in bespoke leather goods.
